Project Engineer - Piling

Location – North West

Permanent

Salary – £26,000 - £35,000 pa

You will need:

An exciting opportunity has arisen with our client for a Project Engineer - Piling, within the Rail industry to work on a major North West project.

You will have:

• Must be Civil/Ground Engineering Qualified
• Extensive knowledge of piling technique
• Civil experience and Geotechnical experience
• Must have good organisational skills, including prioritisation of workload
• Good teamwork skills, encouraging co-operation between individuals and groups, and earning the respect of others
• Innovative, with a desire to improve processes and methods of working

The role:

To ensure Health, Safety and Environment on our sites is maintained to the company and Legislative Standards in accordance with company Health and Safety Policy and through SHEPS implementation

• To ensure site implementation of the Company Quality Control Procedures and Controls

• To ensure completion of the Advanced Contract Information (ACI) in conjunction with your Area Manager/Senior Estimator five working days prior to site commencement

• To ensure the correct design information has been checked in accordance with the Quality Procedures

• Responsibility for countersigning of wages sheets for each contract prior to receipt within the accounts team

• To liaise with the Purchasing Team to ensure that the correct materials and external resources are being used to undertake the project

• Liaise with Clients / Engineers / Main Contractors during the progress of our works

• Specific contracts may involve liaising with the public / local authorities / building controls

• To liaise with Proposals on Area tendering and estimating

• To liaise with the Commercial Team regarding Contract Documents and payment of accounts and the timely preparation of records documenting changes to our work

• To manage and liaise with Contracts Engineers during the progress of a Project
