THE COMPANY

This Tier One Rail Civils contractor has built a solid reputation for delivering small to medium sized projects on the CP5 as well as high volume schemes on a minor works framework. The company have big plans to bolster their presence in the South East and East Anglian area securing several contracts with train operating companies in the region, in addition to the bread a butter work they secure from Network Rail.

This Project Manager role will suit you if you’re comfortable working on fast paced, high volume projects and have the appetite and organisational skills to thrive in this sort of environment. With a growing presence in the East Anglian area and a solid portfolio of work you’ll never be too far away from home. What’s more, this role will play an integral part in the growth of the region offering you the opportunity to add massive value and be empowered to deliver your projects without the “red-tape” and “control” from a central HQ .

THE ROLE

As Project Manager, you will manage projects from pre-construction through to delivery. Projects over £50k need to be tendered for so you will need to manage the preconstruction phase for anywhere between 2-8 at any one time ranging from £50k-£3M in value. Thereafter you’ll oversee a network of Site Managers delivering the schemes (which on the lower value projects can be up to 6 in a week!) Projects could involve bridge repair and paint to removing a fallen down tree on a line so anything goes.

THE REQUIREMENTS

To be considered for this Project Manager role you will need an HNC in Civil Engineering and experience as a PM working on civils projects so structures, bridges, earthworks or tunnels. You must have an SMSTS and CSCS card.

• £50-55K + Car/Allowance + Benefits
