Senior Conformance Engineer in Several locations, UK wide, United Kingdom
Working within NCB (National Certification Body), our client is recruiting a Senior Conformance Engineer to manage the conformance assessment of new or modified railway equipment, systems and vehicles with mandatory standards and associated safety management activities. You will also be required to act as an independent assessor under the relevant regulations.
Candidates can be based in Milton Keynes, York, Glasgow, Manchester, Birmingham or London.
Candidates must have the following Essential Experience:
• Either, experience of working as an Assessment Body under the Common Safety Method, (CSM) for Risk Evaluation and Assessment regulation and have a thorough understanding of the regulation.
• Or, experience of working as a Notified Body or Designated Body assessor or certifier under the Railways (Interoperability) Regulations and have a thorough understanding of the regulation.
These capabilities must have been applied to railway infrastructure projects, i.e. Track, Civils, Stations (Persons with Reduced Mobility), Signalling & Telecoms, Electrification & Power.
NCB have a particular requirement for people meeting the requirements with railway electrification experience.
You will also have a deep understanding of Technical Specifications for Interoperability, Railway Group Standards and Network Rail standards and the ability to produce high quality written reports.
Desirable experience will include:
Chartered or Incorporated Engineer.
Familiar with Network Rail project processes, particularly GRIP.
