Due to the exciting growth my client is looking to once again add to the team and is looking for a Site Agent who has Rail / Civil Engineering experience. The successful candidate will have a drive and passion for his or her work. The Role

As the Senior Engineer / Sub Agent you will have reasonability of managing multiple rail and civil projects in the Wessex region. Your responsibilities will include:

• Site Safety, HSEQ responsibilities for all site activities
• Review the projects drawings, specifications for site based activity / engineering.
• Keeping accurate records, including a diary, of all site activities.
• Taking off and ordering of materials.
• Daily and weekly planning of site works being
• Setting out and surveying works on site where necessary
• Ensuring that site engineering is carried out in a professional, systematic and accurate manner.
• Supervision of works on site including labour, plant and subcontractors.
• carried out, including assisting in the production of Risk Assessments, Work Package Plans, Inspection Test Plans and other documentation.
• Day to day management of sub-contractors and engineers as required

• Ensure contracts are delivered to the specified requirements from
• Legislation
• T&C of the contract
• H&S Plans
• Work package plans
• Task Briefs
• Environmental Plan & Contract Quality

• Delivery of the contract within programme and budget.
• The continuous monitoring of contract progress to ensure contract objectives are being met.
• Ensuring that in conjunction with the site team changes to the contract are identified, agreed and effectively managed.
• The provision of formal reports on contract progress to the Project and Contracts Managers.

About you

• You must have previous experience as a Site Agent in a rail and civil engineering environment.

• Hold a PTS / SMSTS
• Have a civil engineering degree HNC or HND in civil engineering (However a time served engineer with civil and rail experience will be considered for this role)
• Experience as a Section Engineer/Senior Engineer or Sub Agent in a rail from a contracting side not just client side.
• Experience in rail working on civils projects
