Senior Manager Systems Integration and Assurance

Randstad is proud to partner with Queensland Rail (QR) on a major international recruitment drive to source Signalling and Systems Engineering professionals across the globe. As part of this major recruitment drive, we are looking to identify an experienced Senior Manager Systems Integration & Assurance for their Major Projects and Integration division (MPI).

QR has a current project pipeline of over A$10 billion and this is expected to grow exponentially in the build up to the 2032 Brisbane Olympics. As a result of this significant investment, the need to secure in-house signalling and systems assurance resources is paramount to support the Major Projects and Integration division (MPI). MPI is currently delivering Cross River Rail, which includes the installation/commissioning of ETCS level 2 and the Fast Rail project from Brisbane to the Sunshine Coast.

QR operates passenger and freight rail services across Queensland, and is committed to providing a customer-focused, safe and world-class rail service. It is also responsible for the maintenance of a 6600 kilometre rail network and the effective delivery of projects to improve the efficiency and increase the capacity of its rail assets.

About the role

The Senior Manager Systems Integration & Assurance will lead the integration and assurance to drive the delivery of Cross River Rail and ETCS Projects. This role is based out of QR’s Brisbane office but will travel to site as and when required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the integration and assurance of Cross River Rail and ETCS projects
• Manage a team of systems engineers and assurance specialists
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards
• Develop and implement systems integration and assurance strategies
• Manage all requirements associated with the Systems Engineering and Assurance stream

To be successful in this role:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
• Proven experience in systems integration and assurance, specifically with ATO systems
• Strong leadership and project management skills
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
