Commercial
- Working with the estimators and delivery team so as to produce programmes that are commercially attractive to the client.
- Working with the project managers, site managers and commercial managers to ensure that all change is captured in the programme.
- Helping the team to identify and evaluate the risks within the project, not only with regards to planning, but the project as a whole.
Planning
- Developing, producing and updating programmes for multiple projects across a range of disciplines
- Working with the Head of Planning to publish regular four weekly updates of the entire
- Following the principles adopted within the framework for producing programmes whilst suggesting ways they could be improved
- Applying resources including costs to programmes
People
- Working within a small team to deliver a significant amount of planning output will require the ability to form good working relationships, a flexible attitude and a willingness to adapt to change.
- Developing relationships with other teams to ensure that we share resources, innovation, and process to deliver efficiently as one.

The ability to plan from first principles
Proven ability in using P6 Primavera planning software, a working knowledge of other planning software such as MS-Project or Asta Powerproject
Experience in using MS-Office to support in producing robust planning solutions
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Good level of NEC3 knowledge, and knowledge of how it should be applied to the contract programme
Understanding of construction design
Good level of IT skills.
Experience and knowledge of construction industry - awareness of current techniques.
Knowledge of Network Rail processes and assurance procedures. Experienced at working within a Rail environment.
Engineering knowledge with relevant experience in suitable disciplines, such as Structures, Buildings, M&E, Geotechnical and/or rail disciplines like permanent way, signalling, telecoms and E&P.
