Senior Quantity Surveyor- Structural Steel

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join an established and growing steel fabrication company, to be based on some of their complex projects in London. We are happy to consider applicants with either a new build or refurbishment background experience; however the Quantity Surveyor must have solid experience in the construction industry and have solid knowledge and experience working on structural steel projects.

Responsibilities;

• Responsible for all build, materials and labour evaluations, costings and approvals.
• From the initial calculations to final figures, you will be trying to minimise costs of the projects, enhance the projects value for money/profits and yet still make sure the company s quality standards are met.
• Keep track of any changes, cost variations and commercial risks throughout the projects.
• Produce reports to show your evaluations, actual costings, profits and losses etc.
• Produce documentations relating to tenders, bill of quantities and other related documents as required.

Key Requirements;

• Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying essential.
• Structural Steel Project Experience essential.
• Very health and safety conscious and the risks associated with lack thereof.
• Possess key skills and experience relating to the job responsibilities.
• Driven, hands on, confident, self-starter, works on own initiative, capable of getting your voice heard, friendly, good communicator and a team player would be ideal personality traits.
