Must have Alliance experience dealing with the cleint will be big part of this role
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Project planning and costing.
- Compiling detailed train plans and train and tamper ordering.
- Setting out and installing complex units
- Operated as Engineer for the project – providing Signalling designs from concept to handover.
- Produce all work package plans, risk assessments and setting out/installation drawings and details.
- Compile and check reports and specifications for project works.
- On-site Duty Manager for large renewals.
- Management of full scope of project elements – including managing and coordinating the services design teams to meet agreed programmes and budgets.
- Developing work breakdown structures in accordance with planning procedures and work instructions.
- Assist continuous improvement of safety and performance.
- Management of client project team relationships and reporting.
- Providing project management and leadership of single or multiple rail engineering projects establishing sufficient schedules, resource plans and control mechanisms to ensure all project commitments are achieved to plan and within budget
Applicants must have
- Significant experience in engineering disciplines, ideally with involvement in multi-discipline construction and design projects
- Experience of undertaking the role of Designated Project Engineer.
- Technical qualifications to at least HNC level or equivalent
- Membership of a relevant professional institution
- Knowledge of structuring safety cases in support of projects
- Knowledge of safety management and quality assurance
- Understanding of the arrangements required for the independent assessment of works
- Accident investigation experience preferable.
Desirable
- Accredited status or equivalent in the particular discipline
- Appreciation of environmental issues in engineering works
