Senior Structural Engineer

Location: Manchester

Contract - Ltd - £40-45ph

The Role

As the structural engineer, you will report directly to the Team Leader and will be expected to carry out the following duties:

• As the Senior Structural Engineer, you will have the responsibility of leading a team of engineers and grads. You will produce studies, design and surveys and produce reports.
• You will check designs and drawings created by the team and provide feedback and mentorship where required.
• You have autonomy to delivery projects but support will be on hand on more complex schemes.
• You will produce detailed structural designs for multidisciplinary projects.
• Liaising your team and clients and partners.
• You will manage Budgets and the Programme Control

The Candidate

• You must have a background in industrial projects Structures and Buildings.
• A background of Rail and knowledge of Rail standards would be advantageous.
• You must have an excellent knowledge of Eurocodes & BS of structural materials: Timber, Steele, Concrete etc
• You will have 4+ year’s experience in a design office.
• You will be Chartered or an Incorporated Civils and, on your way, to becoming Chartered.
• You must have knowledge of the CDM Regulations & Building Regs.
