Job Profile
We are looking for a dynamic individual who is willing to work in a fast-paced environment on the prestigious Crossrail Project. Our client is responsible for delivering the Communications and Control scope for the entire Communication and Control part of the project. Our client provides a Central Management System and Station Management SCADA systems which monitor and control assets in the Crossrail network. We are looking for a Software Project manager who can help propel the team to the conclusion of the project and to a successful handover.

The candidate will be responsible for acting as an interface between the Software development team and the client. The Software PM will be a part of the C660 Ashby management team, which are be responsible for closing out the Crossrail project and managing late client changes and any the snagging works.

The role is considered to be outside IR35.

Job Duties include but are not limited to the following:
* Coordinating software deliveries to a plan
* Planning and prioritisation of software features and defect resolutions
* Organising troubleshooting meetings to find the best practical solution for site issues
* Organisation of Human factors assessments and implementation of end user feedback.
* Liaising with technical teams to coordinate features and future builds
* Agree scope of future builds with the Crossrail client
* Providing weekly reports to senior management teams
* Attending Client meetings
* Driving continuous improvement activities
* Liaising with the Factory Acceptance Test, and Site Testing and Commissioning teams to coordinate site software release date.
* Resolving Non Conformance issues as a matter of priority
* This position will report to the Ashby C660 Project Manager and will support the C660 Software Manager in the delivery of the C660 Software.
* Support bid and estimation activities for future works where necessary.

Required Experience
The ideal candidate will be able to meet the criteria below:
* Must have excellent written and oral communications skills
* Must be able to understand and explain difficult technical concepts in an easy, straightforward manner
* Must have previous customer facing experiences
* Must have experience working with commercial/finance teams. The candidate needs to be commercially astute.
* Must have experience working in an Agile software environment before (with the use of sprints, backlog grooming etc.)
* Must have a technical background in an engineering or software related discipline
* Experienced working within an NEC framework contract, or on similarly large mega-projects is highly preferred
* Experience within a highly regulated environment like Rail (preferred), or equivalent such as nuclear, oil and gas.
* Experience of using Microsoft office tools is a must
* Experience of using JIRA is preferred.
