Training Specialist (Delivery Operations) – Incident Response Department:

Purpose of the Job

The Training Delivery Specialist is a professional subject matter expert responsible for planning & delivering Rail for London Infrastructure (RfLI) Operations training programmes, to enable the mobilisation of a competent workforce in 2018

Principal Accountabilities

Deliver and adapt training using a range of different interactive methods (including coaching & mentoring) to ensure the learner is at the centre of the learning process.

As required, develop training & assessment (including: eLearning, classroom learning and simulations) to ensure both organisational and individual needs are met.

Undertaking accurate, reliable and fair assessments and development of competence action plans to ensure learners meet required standards.

Monitor technical compliance and continuous development of RfLI employees, assuring the maintenance and development of a high performing workforce.

Work closely with and provide support to other RfLI employees, in order to meet the demands of the Elizabeth Line operating strategy

Support the development of the Infrastructure Manager throughout the staged opening of the Network, including the bringing into use of the Route ensuring safe & efficient operations.

Take reasonable care of your own and others’ health and safety and of those who may be affected in the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for working to Target Zero principles.

Person Specification

A competent railway signaller/railway electrical control operator/railway incident response manager, or equivalent

Professional training & assessment qualifications (for example, certificate in the life long learning sector (CTTLS) or certificate in assessing vocational achievement (CAVA))

Knowledge of how railway control rooms operate and/or incident management

Knowledge railway related competencies, in particular railway operations

Knowledge of procedures relating to the competence management of Safety Critical Work is desirable.

Knowledge of railways or other regulated industries
