So what will you actually do as the Infrastructure / Rolling StockSystems Engineer?
The role is working for the Management and Advisory Team, however will work across both Management and Advisory and Engineering Technology - two critical pillars of the business delivering across a broad range of clients with a high volume of work within the Rail - Rolling Stock area.
You’ll be working on a variety of 2 - 3 projects simultaneously based on your background knowledge, your own development and future interests.
We have a number of Systems Engineer roles available at a variety of levels. Depending on your background, you could be working on projects such as;
- Managing the modification of rolling stock to multinational clients
- Planning and managing the modification or introduction of depots and / or facilities into the international railway sector.
- Designing and developing new technology to deliver the data driven railway.
You’ll provide support to the management team; formulating bids as well as providing full engineering management consultancy from C-level advice, technical project management, requirements management, verification, validation and integration engineering.

So who would be good at the role?

Someone who has a track record working within a Rolling Stock / Depot or infrastructure background and who is excited to broaden horizons as well.

Candidates will have excellent knowledge in railway depot and facilities systems or have excellent infrastructure projects experience.

You’ll ideally be chartered or plan to be in the future and have a professional qualification in related rail systems or adjacent fields.

You’ll bring your excellent engineering management knowledge including; systems engineering, verification, validation and / or integration experience,

You’ll be confident and concise on your approach and will have

had exposure to senior / C-Suite stakeholders in the past.

You’ll be a self starter with the ability to spot future opportunities for Infinitive.

You’ll be articulate and comfortable solving complex problems with excellent communication skills

Remuneration & core information.
We will consider applications across Junior Engineers, Consultant Engineers and Senior Engineers.
Salary ranges are closely aligned to candidates experience and project exposure. There is a wide salary range highlight on the advert due to this.
Flexible working culture offering hybrid working with travel to the office in Milton Keynes.
Car allowance is offered from Senior level.
