Technical Clerk (O&M Manuals) in London, London, United Kingdom

The Technical Clerk (O&M's) will be responsible for providing a range of important technical and administrative support to the O&M Delivery Lead and other technical authors. Working closely with the technical team and other stakeholders, you will take a proactive approach to providing a high-quality service.

Accountabilities:

Support the Employer in relation to the following:

  • Support and facilitate the delivery of the Operations & Maintenance Manuals in line with the Employer's information requirements, specifications and handover of all formally released/issued OMM deliverables.
  • Populate O&M folders with drawings, commissioning & certification, MCR information and site photos and prepare and populate CRL O&M templates with generic information for technical authors
  • To liaise with Package Managers and Subcontractors for the timely delivery of Manufacturer O&M documents
  • Liaise with BOS Document Controller for the transmittal of O&M documents to CRL O&M Central Team and LUCT
  • Liaise with the Asset Data team to identify and resolve any non-conformances with the asset data to get the asset data referenced correctly in O&Ms.
  • To provide ad-hoc clerical and administrative support to ensure an effective delivery of O&M documentation
  • Liaise with the Site Delivery Teams and Contractors to assist in resolving any O&M queries
  • Be a first point of contact to the Contractors for OMM queries, requests and educating them in the necessary requirements for compliance with the provided templates.
  • Take ownership of O&M tracker and provide data as requested for progress/KPI reporting.

Specification:

  • Good knowledge of preparation of technical documentations within engineering and construction organizations
  • Competent and comfortable processing large volumes of data following predefined processes and methodologies
  • Knowledge of LU, RfL and/or NR environment and relevant processes and procedures. A good understanding of Assurance in a rail environment is desirable (e.g. LU Standard S1538).
  • Proactive management - actively chasing people to get actions closed out and to supply requirements and team player with positive "can do" attitude.
  • Good experience of using typical MS office computer applications, such as MS Word, Excel, Office & Outlook.
  • Excellent communication, especially technical writing skills interpersonal skills who can liaise with staff within Crossrail, Contractor teams and 3rd Party Organisations.
  • Able to work collaboratively to achieve common goals across different organisations.
  • Ability to implement actions and tasks within a project team in a matrix organization.
