A leading UK Rail Engineering consultancy have an outstanding opportunity and experience Track / P-Way Engineer or a strong P-Way bias Assistant Project Manager to join their clients project team as a P-Way Project Engineer being the technical delivery lead on the upgrade of our UK Rail Networks. This opportunity is a long term contractual position will be based and operated out of the South London area.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Senior Management team, you the Track Project Engineer will be responsible for managing the affective planning and engineering activities of P-Way and related infrastructure development operations. As the Track Project Engineer you will be the strong technical lead and therefore accountable for identifying and resolving technical issues, reading and interpreting P-Way and other related Engineering drawings to be able to effectively create credible scoping plans to work towards and to be able to accept design documentations whilst assessing what Construction / Engineering techniques need to be utilised.

As Track Project Engineer you will manage the carrying out track surveys, liaison with the client s representatives, produce and review method statements, RFI s and Risk Assessments and monitor QA and health and safety. You will be present in all progress meetings and collaboratively contribute to project production plans of progress reports.

Requirements:

• It is envisaged that the successful Track Project Engineer will be adequately qualified within a Civils Engineering or related Rail Engineering discipline and possess a strong work history in successfully and effectively delivering Track / P-Way renewals, installation and development project.
• You will be adept in the reading and interpretation of Track Design Drawings and surveying / setting out equipment and techniques, Stressing and Tamping, checking quality and ensuring that the laid down systems and processes are followed and complied with.
• Will also possess a strong working appreciation and knowledge for Track / P-Way and Track Asset renewals, gained within either the NWR, LUL, DLR or Tram Ways infrastructure, with strong understanding of related policies and procedures.
