Job Title: Training Manager (Manchester)
Location: Manchester
Job Function: Manage aspects of training & competence within Train Maintenance Centre and all relevant outstations within UK.
Main Responsibilities
- The development and implementation of CAF Rail UK Competency Management System
- Maintaining all training records and updating the skills matrix
- Development of e-learning modules.
- Co-ordinate the creation and delivery of technical and operational training to meet the business needs.
- Ensure that all training complies with legislation, standards and good practice.
- Manage all aspects of the training budget.
- Carry out risk based training needs analysis’s.
- Manage, review and implement the competency management system.
- Develop training courses to meet identified specifications.
- Provide technical assistance for company selection and recruitment activities.
- Continuingly maintain and improve training documentation.
- Carry out formal assessments to determine the competence of safety critical staff.
- Carry out training and assessment validation, evaluation and standardization exercises as required.
- To undertake any other reasonable duties and responsibilities.
- The development of client Training Plans, delivery of client training courses, training materials, training aids (with support from key suppliers and CAF specialists)
Qualifications
- 5 years experience in a similar role.
- Engineering / M & E ONC / served engineering apprenticeship.
- Award in Education & Training (AET).
- Training, Assessment, Quality & Assurance (TAQA).
- Certificate in management (QCF Level 3 or above).
- Licenses/competences - Rolling stock maintenance.
- You must be eligible to live and work in the UK to apply for this position.
- Practical experience of identifying learning and development needs.
- Practical experience of writing training course guides and learner material to cater for different learning styles and identified needs.
- Practical experience of carrying out formal assessments to either company or national standards.
