HSE Advisor (Health, Safety, and Environment) - Major Construction Works

About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Advisor with extensive experience in managing major construction projects to join our client. Experience managing AMK is essential to the role.
The successful candidate will work with an end client on national infrastructure projects around the Copenhagen area. This role is pivotal in ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental practices are adhered to throughout the project's lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- HSE Coordination: Serve as the primary HSE advisor for the client, ensuring compliance with all relevant Danish regulations and industry standards.
- AMK-B Role Management: Handle the AMK-B role and oversee the client's obligations related to working environment coordination.
- AMK-P and Advisor Coordination: Effectively manage AMK-P and liaise with external advisors to ensure seamless HSE coordination.
- Risk Assessment: Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and implement risk mitigation strategies.
- Compliance Monitoring: Ensure ongoing compliance with HSE regulations and standards, conducting regular audits and inspections.
- Incident Management: Lead investigations into any incidents or near-misses, providing detailed reports and recommendations for prevention.
- Training & Development: Develop and deliver HSE training programs to project teams, promoting a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
- Reporting: Prepare and present detailed HSE reports to stakeholders, highlighting key metrics, trends, and areas for improvement.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with all project stakeholders, including contractors, to ensure HSE objectives are understood and met.
Qualifications and Experience
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 7 years of HSE experience in the construction/engineering industry, with a strong background in national infrastructure projects.
- Local Expertise: Proven experience working on projects within Denmark
- Certifications: Relevant HSE certifications and training. Familiarity with Danish HSE regulations is essential.
- Skills: Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Languages: Proficiency in Danish and English, both written and spoken is preferred.
