Ford & Stanley - The Rail Recruitment Experts are recruiting a NEBOSH qualified QSHE manager who have the opportunity to implement a safety culture with the full support with a brand-new management team in a busy operational environment.
The Opportunity:
To join a team as they take over the management of 150 staff depot and establish a safety culture. As the company expands there may be the opportunity to take on a group QSHE role within the company.
Location (s): The position is based in Liverpool.
Role and Responsibilities
- Technical software development/coding expertise
- Be an integral member of the Digital Services team working on a variety of existing and future client focused application development opportunities
- Work within a successful team to continuously improve and refine the skills and capabilities of the team
- Remain abreast of current software development tools and techniques
- Deliver agreed commitments to the stated quality, timescales and cost
- Support the Digital Services team to achieve their growth ambitions
- Undertake periodic code reviews
- Coach and mentor more junior colleagues
The Candidate
You will have the Minimum of a NEBOSH Certificate and experience working in a heavy manufacturing/engineering environment, with a vast understanding of the implementation and maintaining of cultural safety.

- Ability to apply suitable independence in terms of safety assurance / verification.
- Smooth relationships when difficult circumstances prevail and develop a culture of thrust both within and outside the team.
- Membership of IOSH (minimum NEBOSH Certificate)
- Experience in an engineering safety role.
- Demonstrable wide-ranging business knowledge & experience.
Desirable
- NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health (Level 6)
- Project Management Skills and Experience
- Railway Operational Experience, with Shunting of Rail Vehicles.
