Rail - Chief Health & Safety Expert - India

The market leading infrastructure recruitment specialist are working with a major international Consultancy firm who are requiring a Chief Health & Safety Expert for a ongoing Metro project in India.

Opportunity & Responsibilities:

The successful individual shall be joining an International Team providing consultancy services to the end client. The team have been responsible for carrying out Design Review, Tender support and Supervising the Construction of a new Metro line in the East of the country.

Responsibilities:

The Chief Health and Safety Expert shall be required to advise on all matters relating to the construction activities of the project including the setting up and monitoring of HSE practices, supervising contractors and reporting to the Project Director & stakeholders.

Requirements for the role are:

• A degree (undergrad or masters) in Health and Safety
• 15+ years overall professional experience
• Aggregate 8+ years working experience in large Metro/railways/LRT projects infrastructure projects, preferably funded by multilateral/bilateral agencies
• 4+ years substantial presence in a single project of large Metro/railways/LRT projects, preferably funded by multilateral/bilateral agencies, preferably in Chief Health and Safety position
• 1+ year work experience in India

Salary Package:

The salary on offer is flexible depending on level and experience but would be expected to be circa $10-12,000 per month Tax free
