Working in this client side organization your primary task is to manage the organisations safety system to ensure the rules and procedures for operating safely within the rail corridor are being met.

Your duties and responsibilities will include:

• Manages the clients Safeworking system to meet their rail safety accreditation requirements and objectives.
• Manages the clients Safeworking Rules and Procedures in accordance with relevant policies and procedures.
• Develops Safeworking Rules and Procedures and associated policies and procedures for presentation at the c;ients Strategic Safeworking Management Group.
• Monitors and reviews rules, procedures and instructions to achieve alignments with Australian Network Rules and Procedures (ANRP) and compliance with relevant law.
• Liaise with and maintain effective working relationships with both internal and external clients and stakeholders.
• Acts as the Executive Officer of the clients Strategic Safeworking Management Group
• Monitor Safeworking breaches and assist divisional safety personnel with assessing and managing Safeworking breaches in their divisions.
• Monitor and audit compliance with the client's Safeworking requirements by all individuals working on the network.

To be suitable for the role you will have

• Relevant tertiary qualification or significant experience in rail safety.
• Extensive knowledge and experience in rail Safeworking practices in an operational environment.
• Substantial knowledge and experience in developing, implementing and enforcing Safeworking rules and associated policies and procedures.
• You will ideally have an understanding of the Australian Network Rules & Procedures
