Job Summary
An opportunity has arisen for a Resource Co-ordinator to join the Project Planning Team working in the Major Project, North West division. The responsibilities will be to:
- Responsible for ensuring the rostering of resource requirements in accordance with terms and conditions of employment, including stipulated timescales to ensure contractual requirements (work programme) are delivered.
- Responsible for ensuring that the staff rosters are developed in accordance with the relevant HSQE policies and procedures are adhered to.
- Responsible for managing the allocation of hours and weekend shifts ensuring correct utilisation of available resource.
- Responsible for the inputting of all training, annual leave and sickness shifts/hours into the relevant business systems
- Establish and maintain robust communication between Logistics & Resources Manager, Business Managers, Engineering Managers and Operations Managers.
- Develop and maintain the rostering database to ensure information is available, including the production of internal reports.
- Attend training courses identified by VolkerRail to help with undertaking role or delivery of new systems.
- Undertake other reasonable duties as required.
Job Requirements
You will be self-motivated with a pro-active approach and have experience of working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines. Problem solving, communication and good interpersonal skills are a key requirement for this role. The candidate will also ideally have the following Experience/skill set:
- Previous experience of working within a resourcing environment
- Communicate effectively at all levels – verbally and written
- Able to maintain positive working relationship with internal and external customers,
- Able to work as part of a team with minimum supervision
- Ability to work in constantly changing environment and to tight deadlines
- Proficient with Microsoft office
- Ability to prioritise and manage a variety of tasks to completion
