We have a Resource Planner vacancy for a well known Rail Infrastructure company based in Reading for a contract position initially for 6 Months.
As a Resource Planner you will take sole charge of arranging the provision of the resources to support the delivery of maintenance and project work within the delivery unit.
Duties include but not limited to:
1.Arrange all necessary resources within appropriate lead times to support delivery of all work schedules and programmes.
2.Arrange and coordinate the hire and transportation of road rail vehicles for the delivery unit and where necessary between delivery units.
3.Provide resource schedules to support the development of Annual and Quarterly Plans.
4.Coordinate and optimise all resources for efficient maintenance delivery.
5.Manage the transportation of plant and materials to sites of work.
6.Manage the effective resourcing of plan changes and emergency works.
7.Manage the Engineering Train haulage process.
8.Submit highways access requests to the Integrated Planning Group.
9.Collate and submit accurate resource forecasts as required.
The successful candidate will have the following experience and skills:
*Knowledge of resource planning processes and systems
*Resource coordination and optimisation skills
*Knowledge of access and possession processes and systems
*Good interpersonal, communication and organisational skills
*Knowledge of maintenance delivery processes and techniques
*Knowledge of the Rail Sector is a must
This role is for a public sector organisation, and has been determined to be inside IR35 for Limited Company contractors.
