Job title: Timetable and Resource Planner - Rail
Job location: Midlands
Contract: 3 month interim role
Timetable and Resource Planner required for the detailed preparation of weekly revised train plans and the development of amended rolling stock and train crew diagrams in connection with the industries Informed Traveller process with Network Rail.
Required Skills and Experience:
*Computer literacy in common applications such as Word and Excel is essential.
*Knowledge of Voyagerplan is essential; knowledge of TrainTRACS, TRUST and other train planning systems is desirable.
*General knowledge of east midlands geography, and train services operated in the Midlands is desirable.
*Good team player with flexible, supportive approach.
*Analytical approach and ability to resolve complex issues using a range of techniques.
*Good verbal and written communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
*Produce amended timetables (that conform to the Engineering Access Statement/Train Planning Rules), as a result of engineering works, special events and other short term planning requirements in accordance with laid down industry timescales.
*Produce amended timetables from a commercial specification but also in liaison with the commercial organisation and local management to produce optimum plan.
*Produce revised rolling stock diagrams in support of amended timetables and balance across the day/week.
*Produce rail replacement plans where required and ensure these are submitted to Network Rail as part of the Bid process for each week.
*Produce revised train crew diagrams in support of amended timetables in accordance with agreed conditions of service and planning rules. Ensure that all passenger checks are carried out.
*Upload, circulate and publish timetables in accordance with company processes and systems.
*To assist in the production of the Weekly Engineering Circular to agreed timescales and in the agreed format to Network Rail.
*Liaise with Network Rail and other operators as necessary to optimise timetable plans.
*Generate Job Cards for use of Train Crew where necessary.
