What Will You Be Doing as Their Resource Manager?

In this important role you will be ensuring that sufficient train crew are available to run the services. To do this, you will help Roster Clerks to prepare the master rosters ensuring holidays and known absence are considered. On a daily basis, you will review these rosters and work with other Resource Managers to ensure any unexpected absence is covered then update systems to enable the accurate monitoring of actual hours worked. This is a fast paced and varied role where things change quickly so you’ll need to remain calm and controlled when delays have a knock-on effect on later shifts.

You’ll be working in a large, bustling station which helps over 200,000 passengers reach their destination every day. Some of these passengers will need assistance so part of your role will be to communicate requirements and ensure the right teams are on hand to help.
