Role: Senior Communication & Information Systems (CIS) Consultant Security Focus

I am looking to place a Senior CIS/ICT Consultant who has experience of security-based systems within an international engineering consultancys Bristol office. The firm are a Civil and Structural Engineering firm by trade who operate on a wide range of Nuclear and MOD contracts. As well as providing systems architecture expertise to a range of clients, you will also be supporting the engineering firm with their own systems, again focusing on security and architecture. The firm is already well-established in its civil and structural design services across the world, with their Communication and Information Systems business arm a growing portion of their workload. As such, they are looking for a Senior CIS Consultant who can help lead and develop their professional services.

Alongside development and integration of systems across a range of MOD/Nuclear projects, you will have the opportunity to support bids on new projects, liaise with a range of both internal and external stakeholders and act as a lead on key tasks using your technical expertise. You will be leading from the front in supporting development of new technical systems, consulting on security solutions and managing services for a range of clients.

Ideally, you will have direct experience, as well as the ability to lead others, in the following areas:

• Architecture Frameworks TOGAF/MODAF/NAF/etc.
• Enterprise and Solution Architecture, Security/Federated Architectures, Pattern re-use
• Service Architecture/Service Management IBAs, SLAs, OLAs
• Service Management Frameworks - ITIL, COBIT, FitSM or ISO/IEC 20000.
• Large scale system integration (and integration into heterogenous environments)

Further, you may have some of the following qualifications:

• BCS qualified Practitioner of Enterprise & Solution Architecture
• TOGAF practitioner
• ITIL
• ISO/IEC 20000
• Chartered IT Professional

Due to the confidential nature of projects with the MOD, national government and high-profile energy systems projects, candidates should have current SC Clearance, or the ability to obtain it before employment commences.
