Job Description

To support continued expansion of our rail business, we are looking for a Business Case Lead to help us significantly expand our investment appraisal capability and service, with a particular focus on the rail and wider transport sector.

Requirements

The person we are looking for will be able to help us develop work in this area as well as manage and co-deliver projects. As such, we are particularly looking for individuals with:

• Significant experience developing business cases for rail (mainline and/or metro) schemes, including working with the DfT or major rail transport bodies
• Understanding of the business case and investment appraisal methods used in the rail/transport sector, including HM Treasury Green Book
• A whole of system and whole of lifecycle understanding of the costs and benefits associated with rail schemes
• The ability to lead and undertake project work in this area
• Experience in - or the aptitude for - business development, and client relationships
• Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills (written and oral)
• You will have a relevant degree (e.g. engineering, transport appraisal, economics).
