Job title: GIS Transformation Lead - Lower Thames Crossing
Job location: London
Duration: 12 month contract
Rate: £45.00 - £55.00 per hour LTD
To ensure GIS best practice, education and compliance across the Lower Thames Crossing project.
Key Responsibilities:
*Respond to the Employer's Information Requirements and the Cascade Information requirements within a GIS Execution Plan.
*Provide education and support in respect of the GIS Execution Plan.
*Check and report on compliance to the BIM Execution Plan.
*Develop and gain consensus of the GIS Standards, Methods and Procedures.
*Provide education and support in respect of the GIS Standards, Methods and Procedures.
*Check and report on compliance to the GIS Standards, Methods and Procedures.
*Advise on the assessment of the Task Teams capability to produce information in accordance with the GIS Standards, Methods and Procedures.
*Advise on establishing, managing and ensuring the availability of the Project Common Data Environment Technology to the Employer, the Project and all Task Teams.
*Identify, recommend, and promote GIS uses to benefit the project, ensure those are accepted by the project team, and monitor the value they bring to the project.
*Analyse GIS strategic and operational projects and tasks, establish priorities, resources and plans for each.
*Promote GIS and its defined project uses across the project team.
*Deliver parent company project governance requirements as required
*Consider project legacy and in all decision making in the same way as cost, risk and time
*Look for ways to encourage innovative thinking around how to improve legacy benefits
*Hold health, safety and welfare (HSW) as a key project value and to participate in the creation, development and implementation of HSW strategies by the project leadership team

Required Skills and Experience:
*Seasoned GIS professional with a track record of delivering projects to time, cost and quality standards across all stages of the project lifecycle.
*Demonstrable experience of successfully working in / adapting the philosophy of a 'One Team' environment within an NEC contract context.
*Team oriented leader with the ability to work closely with peers, with the ability to delegate, motivate and empower individuals and teams.
*Examples of exercising sound judgement, leading and facilitating decision making on complex issues among multiple parties.
*To be able to work across diverse stakeholder (depending on role add internal or external).
*Educated to degree standard with a relevant second degree or membership of an appropriate professional body or equivalent work history.
*Demonstrable experience of working in a major infrastructure project in a similar industry and / or to working in a matrix and dispersed team.
*Demonstrable professional development and / or qualifications in GIS.
*Demonstrable experience of GIS.
*Ability to work with internal and external stakeholders.
*To influence all levels in an organization to produce timely documents etc.
*Exceptional interpersonal skills and personal resilience to working under pressure.
*Advanced Microsoft Office skills including Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
*Advanced Esri ArcGIS skills.
*Experience of a range of GIS technologies.
*Ability to develop and execute approaches to education and learning.
*Ability to monitor and report on compliance.
