The Role
As an experienced Lead Designer, you will be responsible for producing/verifying/organising signalling design such that the design outputs meets mandatory standards, programme milestones and quality standards.
Key Accountabilities
You will be required to effectively communicate information to facilitate compliance with Statutory, Industry, Mandatory and VolkerRail requirements for use by the projects team and liaise with internal projects and client team to ensure their requirements are understood and met with.
Skills & Experience
Essential requirements for this role include a thorough working knowledge of signalling design/checking procedures, signalling principles and practices.
You should ideally possess a broad range of railway signalling design experience and hold 1.1.110 / 1.1.510 (Signalling Designer) and 1.1.160 (Signalling Design Verifier) IRSE Licences, or 1.1.130 / 1.1.550 (Signalling Principles Designer) IRSE Licence/s.
The successful candidate must be experienced in planning resources and managing budgets, must possess strong communication skills and have the ability to mentor other team members.
