A Lead Development Engineer is required to join the Bristol team to manage the planning of all aspects of Wales and Western Track Renewals. Liaising with the Client to ensure an efficient delivery plan is in place, that is compliant with Network Rail’s processes and promotes continuous improvement of track renewals processes, asset modernisation techniques, resources and plant. You will utilise your analytical skills to prepare valuation of works in line with tendered contract rates, as well as monitor efficiencies and loss. You will plan each project from initiation and monitor and assess it throughout the development stage to improve profit margins before handing over to the delivery teams.

With a number of years work experience in Railway Engineering, as well as holding a HNC in a related engineering discipline, you will have extensive knowledge of Track Renewals processes, competitors activity and associated safety matters. With the ability to plan effectively and communicate policy, you will be willing to break with tradition and encourage change, coupled with the ability to make decisions that affect the division and taking accountability for it. Sensitive to politics and motivated to move the business forward, your presence will influence and motivate others towards achieving common objectives. Engineering chartership status would be beneficial.
