THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

You’re the ideal Lead Rolling Stock Engineer if you have substantial knowledge of EMU and DMU rolling stock systems engineering. You will need to be familiar with reliability analysis, engineering change processes and developing maintenance regimes.

You’ll have superb communication skills to influence multiple stakeholders and engage your team to take ownership of issues.

Ultimately, I’m looking for someone who is ambitious, solutions orientated with strong leadership skills and advanced knowledge of rolling stock engineering!

THE ROLE

As the Lead Rolling Stock Engineer, you will manage a team of engineers who provide technical support and engineering solutions to maintenance and production teams.

You will be prioritising work and delegating tasks effectively to ensure timely resolutions to multiple complex challenges. Setting clear objectives and deadlines, you will monitor and report on progress and provide engineering expertise to support delivery.

THE REQUIREMENTS

The ideal Lead Rolling Stock Engineer will be educated to degree level in an engineering discipline and be Chartered or working towards Chartered status.

You’ll also need depth understanding of rail operations and comprehensive knowledge of relationships between OEMs, TOCs, ROSCOs and regulatory bodies.
