What Will You Be Doing as Their Senior Rolling Stock Technician?

A typical shift in this important role will see you fault-find, maintain and repair electrical, electronic and pneumatic systems on-board brand new and older fleets. You’ll work closely with some brilliant engineers to find workable solutions to complex issues and help develop the next generation of technicians by coaching and mentoring service teams. In other words, you’ll be learning while helping others to learn. Any changes to maintenance processes will be led by you which means you’ll also update instructions and ensure documents are accurate and auditable. This really is the role for you if you love variety.

You’ll be working in a large, busy depot which has plenty of parking but if you prefer the train then the station is directly opposite. The people that work here are great and as you’ll be in a senior role they’ll look to you for inspiration and leadership, so you’ll be using your knowledge of rail standards and regulations daily.
