Our client is currently looking for a Lead software engineer to join their team to support their current team to develop their product. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a highly knowledgeable team where you will be taking the lead to assist and support the team to develop the software used to the company's own product.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a tier 1 global company who are one of the leading Railway Signalling Company's in the industry. You do not need to come from a rail background, we are looking for an individual who has the understanding of high level program language, with C#/ C++ experience essential. This individual also needs to understand systems and programs to develop the software for our clients product.

Roles and Responsibility's:

• Lead the development and / or improvement of control systems software within the business including requirements capture, planning, specifications, design, implementation, testing and roll out.
• Lead software project teams
• Participate in the design, coding and module testing of software
• Support submissions to Safety Cases
• Conduct Design Reviews
• Support the installation and commissioning of software
• To comply with Corporate & Environment, Health & Safety requirements at all time
