Rolling Stock Lead - Light Rail in Canada
Directly reports to: VP, Rail
Job Purpose: Manage and coordinate all maintenance related work streams during the preparation of light rail P3 proposals
Location: Mississauga, ON
Description of key activities:
* Preparing and organizing all technical maintenance documentation on project proposals
* Develop compliant maintenance responses to RFP and enforce O&M requirements
* Prepare innovative maintenance solutions for consideration by the consortia to make the proposal more competitive
* Be the key point of contact for all technical issues relating to maintenance while preparing the bid
* Coordinate with specialized consultants as necessary
* Standardize proposal development to facilitate development cost savings on future proposal
* Prepare all maintenance plans, safety procedures, staff requirements etc. to ensure the quality is developed in the proposal
* Develop team work through example with existing and new employees. Coordinate with Project Managers and Directors to facilitate technical information flow and enhance teamwork in the office.
* Spearhead the standardization of all maintenance procedures and requirements
Experience required:
* At least 10 years of Maintenance experience in a light rail O&M environment or similar.
* Educated to BEng level or above preferred, this individual will have worked in a light rail or metro environment with responsibilities in the following fields:
- Rail System Design
- Rail Car Maintenance
* Experience developing efficient maintenance plans compliant with local regulations.
* Experience in Greenfield mobilization a distinct advantage.
Skills:
* Technical Competence in the Light Rail Maintenance Field
* Able to multi-task, strong attention de details, hands on management style, negotiating skills, able to read design drawings, able to quickly assess and prioritize, good communicator/presenter (oral and writing)
* Ability to produce professional presentations
* Ability to work alone with minimal management a distinct advantage
* Strong Interpersonal Skills, ability to deal with conflict amicably and build lasting relationships
* Ability to deal with customer's needs as they arise and present the company core values through this interaction
