Geo-Info are looking for an Land Surveyor who has a minimum of 5 years' experience to help with our expanding workload within the civil, rail and construction industries. Flexibility will be required with travel and working arrangements.
Responsibilities:
- Liaise with the Client and PM Daily as required
- Provide technical support to the project delivery team
- Full understanding of all Standards relating to the projects
- Commercial awareness of Equipment, resources and planning decisions
- Responsible for the quality of all outputs and activities on your project(s)
- Eliminate errors as far as reasonable practicable
- Undertake the works in a planned and structured way to increase productivity
- Responsible for working with the rest of the team in advancing our technical capability to the highest standard
- The role will require a high degree of flexibility in working hours as reasonably required by working in a rail/construction environment
- Mentor Junior/Intermediate surveyors
- Check all data received from or sent to the client
- Be Responsible for all master trackers and ensure they are being updated
- Attend weekly Operations and Site meetings as required
- Ensure all staff are working in a Safe and Professional Manner
- In the Absence of the Project Manager the Senior Surveyor will stand in for the Project Manager.
Qualification required:
- A diploma, undergraduate or postgraduate qualification with relevant experience, or equivalent Career experience.
Experience/Skills:
- Experience working on Rail / Electrification projects
- Knowledge of planning and environmental regulations
- Knowledge of health and safety
- Effective communication, negotiating and presentation skills
- The ability to multi task and self manage
- The ability to prioritise and plan work effectively
- Experience in Managing and Leading teams
- Proficient in the use of Leica and/or Trimble instruments (GNSS/GPS & Total Station)
- Proficient in (but not limited to) general surveying practices (Traversing, Levelling, , Laser Scanner (preferred, not essential), Topographical Surveys, Setting out)
- Proficient in (but not limited to) Railway surveying practices (Height & Stagger Gauging, Cant and Gauge measurements, Platform Gauging, Track/Slope Monitoring, OLE Asbuilt measurements)
- Attention to detail.
