I am looking to place a Lead EIA Consultant within a multidisciplinary engineering consultancys South-East office in London, Essex or Cambridgeshire. The role would suit someone currently Principal level and looking to take a step up into more of a leadership focused role, or someone already operating above this up to Technical Director level.
This particular role would suit someone with a broad spectrum of Environmental Impact Assessment experience. It is possible that candidates will have attained formal education in one area, such as contaminated land, flood risk management, acoustics or air quality, and then diversified into a more generalist role with leadership responsibilities or started their career in a more general environmental function. The firm works across a range of disciplines within Civil and Structural design including Residential, Healthcare, Defence, Energy, Highways, and more and the Environmental Consultancy team works alongside the different disciplines to ensure effective delivery of projects and promote positive environmental practices.
The role would suit someone who is used to liaising with, and managing, a range of design teams, ensuring internal and external compliance with suitable legislation at feasibility, detailed design and construction stages.
Ideally, candidates will have an affiliation with a professional body such as the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA) and hold Chartered Environmentalist status (CEnv).
Day-to-day responsibilities will include technical leadership and project management duties for multiple projects, managing EIAs throughout design and construction phases, liaising with private and public-sector clients, managing new and existing commercial relationships and mentoring more junior members of staff.

Job Requirements:
- Relevant education within Environmentalism/Engineering
- Affiliation with relevant professional body e.g. IEMA

- Experience producing and signing off EIAs across a range of sectors
