PURPOSE OF JOB
To provide delivery, collection and storage within the Logistics requirements. Effective Logistics Management is an essential component of TLES delivery of escalator maintenance and project works. It has been proven to be the key factor in delivering fast-track refurbishment work. This post plays a key role in assisting in the co-ordination and control of this service and to deliver plant equipment and materials into and out of the works sites.
Key Accountabilities
Assist in the warehouse in receiving, unpacking, checking, and storing materials.
Drive all company vehicles including cars, vans and drop side vehicles up to but not including HGV.
Kit Marshalling Escalator Parts - Collect, deliver and store and be able to identify the different parts.
Lifting Equipment Duties - Collect, deliver, store and be able to identify the different Escalator parts.
Collect and deliver parts to and from contractors as required.
Ensure equipment is loaded in a safe and secure manner in order to avoid damage.
Assist and control loading and unloading of the Logistics lorry's to include driving all stores vehicles.
Carry out a visual check of equipment and parts for any damage when delivering and collecting.
Liaise with Logistics & Planning Manager and Logistics Co-ordinators to identify and prepare parts for delivery to sites.
Basic knowledge and recognition of Escalator parts
Good verbal communication
Experience in safe Manual Handling techniques
Holder of full UK driving licence (non HGV)
Fork lift truck licence
Experience of Logistics support in an engineering maintenance environment
