The Project

Our client is a well-known Rolling Stock operator who have found themselves with a dramatically increased workload following some recent internal reshuffles and changes. This means they are in the market for a new Maintenance Engineer. With new trains being introduced in the near future, there are some dramatic improvements that are required on the existing fleets which means there is a requirement for some contractors to come in and help get the work finished!!

Your Role

As a Maintenance Engineer you will be responsible for ensuring that the Rolling Stock returns to its best and no day will ever be the same. This block of planned remedial works will see you carrying out underframe, exterior and interior work and following a variety of VMIs to ensure that the fleet is brought back up to its desired standard. You will work on seats, luggage racks, PIS, underframe, DAS and a variety of mechanical and electrical systems as well as structural work. Your rolewil l include servicing, maintenance, overhaul and modificationof the different Rolling Stock.

You

As the latest Maintenance Engineer to join the team, you will be an experienced Rolling Stock contractor who can demonstrate work carried out previously from both a mechanical and electrical perspective. You will be qualified to Level 3 (or full apprenticeship) and will be looking for a reasonable length contract with a company that are part of a large group.

Your Reward

As the newest Maintenance Engineer to join the team you will be rewarded with an hourly rate of £25 and will be exposed to an organisation that could see you win plenty more work over the next 10 years.
