Role Purpose:

• Manage and control access to, and work on Rail Station Assets

Accountabilities:

• Monitor faults, defects and failures using PC based systems and identify and requisition repairs to assets
• Arrange for and carry out preventative and corrective maintenance to assets across various Rail Stations
• Record incidents that occur on the railway. Ensure accurate records are maintained. Contribute to any enquiry resulting from an incident. Update the Client accordingly.
• Ensure that good customer relations are maintained at all times. Ensure that any personal customer interface projects a good image of our Client.
• Supervise and assist work of General Operatives.
• Carry out Supervison of persons working on or about the trackside or associated to the Client.
• Maintain good record of punctuality and work attendance
• Observe all the rules as laid down in the Clients handbook
• Carry out safety responsibilities in accordance with the appropriate Client Safety Responsibility Statement.
• Manage risk assessments, method statements and all other safety related documentation.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• A good standard of numeracy and literacy
• Ability to use a PC
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
• Experience of safety management systems
• Rail industry experience
• The required permits to carry out work on the railway
• Prioritisation and planning skills
• Electrical or Electronic Background
• Good communication skills
• Current Driving Licence
