Leading privately owned engineering contractor that turns over circa £750 million per year seeks to employ a proven rail civil engineering delivery professional in the position of Senior Project Manager / Contracts Manager. This is a key hire for this leading organisation which will see you report directly into the Rail Director and the role has the potential to develop into a Framework Director in the future.

As Senior Project Manager / Contracts Manager you will join a dynamic business whose footprint in the UK rail market is growing were they are delivering projects ranging from £500,000 to £15 million covering new build stations, station modernisations, earthwork, bridge works and other civils projects. You will have ownership and responsibility of a portfolio of projects from bid stage through to hand over. You will be given the opportunity to deliver these projects autonomously without any red tape holding you back to get the job done. As Senior Project Manager / Contracts Manager you will take the lead in all bid activity for CP6 frameworks and once these have been secured it is envisaged that this position may develop into a Framework Director role.

Due to the UK wide coverage of the business the successful Senior Project Manager / Contracts Manager may have to cover various sites across the country but any costs will be fully reimbursed.
To be considered for the position of Senior Project Manager / Contracts Manager candidates must have experience of delivering projects from bid through to hand over in a rail civil engineering environment. You will need to be flexible and happy to work away if needed and adaptable to working in creative manner.
