Role: (Senior) Acoustic Consultant Environmental and Buildings
Location: London, Peterborough, Leeds or Newcastle
Salary: £42,500 (DoE)
I am looking to place a (Senior) Acoustic Consultant an international engineering consultancys offices between London, Peterborough, Leeds or Newcastle. The role will have a national remit, and you will collaborate with team members across multiple offices in the UK and abroad. The firm has an engineering legacy of over a century and operates across from 100 locations across the Globe with operations across the UK, Europe, MENA, North + South America, Asia and Australia.
The Acoustics teams work as an integrated function working alongside other Civil, Structural and Environmental design teams, covering a range of infrastructure, commercial/industrial, renewable energy and environmental projects. The role also covers client-facing responsibilities, in that you will directly advise internal and external clients on a range of acoustic and vibration issues.
The post-holder will have the opportunity to oversee large-scale Environmental and Buildings Acoustic projects for their entire lifecycle, from conception, design, construction and eventual maintenance or handover. The firm are also increasing their workload within Buildings Acoustics, with the post holder having the opportunity to play a key role in developing this area further from a technical and business standpoint.
Ideally, candidates will have a relevant degree in Acoustics as well as having relevant, demonstrable experience of technical accuracy and commercial awareness for Environmental and Buildings Acoustic projects. Candidates may also be a member of a relevant professional body such as the Institute of Acoustics or Association of Noise Consultants.

Job Requirements:
- Relevant Education in Building/Environmental Acoustics
- Experience with Commercial development within Acoustics projects
- Experience of bids/tenders/fee proposals
- Membership of IoA or ANC
