What will I be doing?
You will be managing one of our key client accounts, ensuring that they receive the highest standard of customer service and quality of work. On a day to day basis you will:
- Work with site-based client contacts to ensure the safe and timely delivery of all contracts within scope of works
- Ensure all works are completed within agreed commercial and financial targets, working closely with the Quantity Surveyor during the project.
- In conjunction with resource dept plan and manage the upcoming work bank to ensure the timely delivery of service and plan and action strategic client visits.
- Ensure that all work undertaken has appropriate documentation which is effectively communicated to all parties prior to commencement.
- Coach and mentor junior members of staff to develop skill base and competence.
- Ensure that the company is compliant with all relevant legislation to effectively manage risk exposure.
- Manage and validate site and equipment inspections to ensure that these are compliant with contractual and legislative requirements.
- Manage site based fleet of vehicles to ensure the appropriate use and service regime is adhered too.
- At all times provide the highest levels of customer service to all stakeholders.
- Where required attend training and competency development courses as directed by the Company.
- Achieve as a minimum the objectives and KPI’s set by the business and line manager, conduct open and honest discussions with line manager at monthly 1-2-1 meetings on successes / improvements in the role.
- Take reasonable care for the health and safety of self and others who may be affected by acts or omissions related to your work. Co-operate fully with the management of the Company with regard to any duty or requirement imposed on them by the relevant Health and Safety legislation to allow through the correct reporting chain immediately that you are aware of any occurrence.
What experience would we like you to have?
In order to be selected for interview you will need to hold a City & Guilds, NPTC or Lantra qualification of equivalent including Basic Maintenance and Cross Cutting only previously CS30, Felling to 380mm/15″ (City and Guilds/NPTC – previously CS31, Tree Climbing & Aerial Rescue (City & Guilds/NPTC – previously CS38), Award in Aerial Cutting of Trees Using Free-fall Techniques (City & Guilds/NPTC – previously CS39). A full UK driving licence is also essential. Rail training can be provided for successful candidates, although rail experience including a PTS qualification is preferred, although not essential. An IOSH qualification is also preferred but is not essential.
