About the role / project:
Network Rail is looking for an experienced Business Change Manager to manage the implementation of change programmes and projects to agreed scope, time, cost and quality requirements, working with Function Directors, Executive Sponsors, Senior Rail Industry stakeholders, user communities, suppliers and their representatives.
The specific project you will be required for is the Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) Re Architecture Programme (148348) which has identified the need to drive Business Communications and change management to succeed.
The Oracle EBS is one of Network Rail's Tier one applications, providing functionality to support core back-office processes which are critical to Network Rail. The application is the largest in terms of user-base and impacts all employees and suppliers of the organisation, therefore a proper change/communications management role is a must have in order to avoid business disruption.
This position is required as soon as possible to enable the programme to deliver successfully.
Role Deliverables:
- Work with the Business System Owners to identify the end user community impacted by look and feel changes (per function).
- Work with the Business System Owners and business owners to understand if the change in functionality means a change to the business process - if so help the business document this and communicate out.
- Agree communications & mechanisms to reach the end user population according to 1.
- Considering frequency of access of EBS
- Considering advance/medium/low level expertise with the tool
- Identify Programme Core Messages to drive to SMEs (& overall function(s)) in terms of key streams progress; UAT, Training and Business Readiness).
- Deploy & maintain the formal HUB SharePoint site and create dashboard to report overall progress (Both technical and business related progress).
- Gather, build and deploy Q&As repository and other key communication messages we need to convey to ALL our stakeholders
- Build Customer Forum material and follow up on actions.
- Document first hand supporting mechanism and deliver the support core messages for go live.
- Support the Deployment of Floor walkers during go live week.
- Create the framework for the SMEs to engage with the project team once the upgraded system is deployed.
- Deployment of the SMEs network as first point of contact during go live (6 weeks minimum).

This role will report directly to the Programme Manager. As you can see from the deliverables, the ideal resource must have;
- Good understanding of NR (Business & IT)
- Experience in dealing with complex stakeholders for large programmes
- Have previously designed and deployed a communications framework
