About the role/project:

IT and Business Services, which are part of Route Services are delivering services that are vital to the running of the railway, deliver the provision of services agreed by the routes to enable them to benefit from economies of scale and the optimisation of our critical resources.
What you will do:
The role will require you to provide project support and administrative assistance in the areas of planning and scheduling, risk and issue management, reporting, quality management and any other project support as necessary. It will require someone with a collaborative, helpful way of working.
- Design, own and deliver an IT change implementation strategy across all Delivery Portfolios & Programmes.
- Take accountability for change activities across IT Delivery whilst leading compliance on company processes and procedures including MSP4NR. Secure agreement of the business change implementation plan for IT Delivery.
- Lead the formulation and transition of plans and business readiness across the portfolios, liaising with the relevant business functions and multiple partners.
- Direct the programme communications and engagement strategy with the Industry Liaison and Communications managers as required.
- Provide assurance and overview of the benefits realisation plan, making negating any overlap between individually owned profiles.
- Build and implement stakeholder management strategies and lead the influencing to internal and external partners of the agenda for change; setting realistic expectations on both the benefits and drawbacks of specific changes.
- Lead and line performance, develop the team of change specialists that work across the IT Delivery Portfolios and Programmes to build high performing teams whilst developing individual capability in line with organisational needs.
- Develop and improve the Change Network capability within RSIT to enable, the network to support change implementation across IT Portfolios and for Continuous Improvement.
- Input to and support the development of the annual capital plan to enable the wider IT understanding of required levels of business change across the function.
Your experience will include:
Essential
Excellent track record of delivering large scale business change within a complex blue-chip business or government function.
Extensive experience in defining, tracking and delivering business benefit in change management initiatives.
Results orientation, with a real passion for delivery.
Effective interpersonal skills and an ability to use influence to gain buy in to enable change to happen.
Strong Commercial awareness.
Ability to work well under pressure in a dynamic environment.
Desirable
Change Management accreditation.
PM accreditation - PRINCE2, APMP and Leading Successful Programmes Practitioner
Experience of working across business functions to deliver £multi-million business benefits.
Experience of leading people in a change-resistant and complex business environment.
Knowledge of the Network Rail industry.
