Role: Intermediate / Senior Geotechnical Engineer
Location: Central Manchester
Salary: £35K-45K

I am looking to speak with an Intermediate / Senior Geotechnical Engineer with the drive and capacity to not only delivery projects on a technical basis but also manage your own projects on a commercial and financial basis whilst assisting on the larger projects.

My client is one of the most well respected medium sized international design consultancies that specialise in Civil, Structural and Geotechnical Engineering.

The Geotechnical project portfolio boasts some of the UK's, UAE and Hong Kong's most iconic schemes surrounding heavy rail, highway (route to market), bridges and heavy civil projects.

As an Intermediate / Senior Geotechnical Engineer, you will be sat within a specialist Geotechnical team helping to deliver complex geotechnical design projects. You will be required to procure and plan geotechnical ground investigations, undertake rock slope inspections, provide reports with detailed recommendations of remedial works and undertake detailed geotechnical designs and technical report writing.

Intermediate / Senior Geotechnical Engineer requirements:

• 1st degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Geology or Geology;
• Chartered or near to chartered with the ICE;
• Will have proven previous experience of undertaking: geotechnical desk studies; procuring & supervising Ground Investigations (GIs)
• Demonstrable experience of geotechnical design with a familiarity of design submission documentation. This includes an understanding of the underlying principles and a knowledge of Eurocode 7
• Ability to use a range of geotechnical software for the design of geotechnical projects including deep and shallow foundations (including pile group analysis); embedded and gravity retaining walls; earthworks/slope stability; reinforced earthworks etc.
• Full UK driving licence
