Management Consultant – Specialism Asset Management
tusp is a leading professional service provider, owned and managed by business specialists, providing bespoke client solutions through our extensive industry knowledge and expertise. For more than 18 years, ‘tusp‘ has provided engineering, procurement, construction (EPC), and maintenance services to industry.
We are looking to enhance our asset management expertise within the business by introducing a number of new positions, this would give the relevant person access to unique and complex asset rich clients, who are looking to enhance their asset management solutions. You will be specifically working with mainline and metro rail clients, helping them to improve their asset management systems and solutions, you will be expected to undertake problem solving reviews, recommend enhancements and audit compliance with industry standards.
A background within an asset rich environment is a must, be that via maintenance or operational activity, a mainline rail background would be desired but not essential.

Requirements
- You will have a minimum of 5 years asset management experience
- Experience working for a consultancy practice is preferable
- You MUST have experience working on the complex infrastructure projects.
- It is essential you are a strong communicator and well-presented.
- You must be able to work in fast paced and often high pressure environments
Experience
- Have a thorough working knowledge of asset management practice and requirements through practical application or process ownership
- Have a thorough understanding of asset data and information requirements to support best practise asset management
- Knowledge of asset management, resource planning and/or GIS software systems is a benefit
- Understand asset performance requirements and analysis techniques needed to verify that assets are meeting the required levels of service
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate ideas clearly at all levels
- Ability to work in unfamiliar business areas and to use their skills to create solutions.
- Experience of working on large infrastructure projects
- Skilled in oral and written communication
- Proficiency with PC operating systems, with proficiency in several basic software applications, ie Microsoft excel and word
- Intermediate level of knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and start-up work processes
- Expertise in the development of whole life costing reports and asset condition dashboards
