Programme Change Manager
Purpose of the Job
The Programme Change Manager manages the Programme change control process within the company in support of the Head of Programme Change and acts as the day to day coordinator of activities relating to programme change.
Principal Accountabilities
Support the business in relation to the following:
- Manage the day to day activities to progress Programme change control and agree changes with internal and external parties
- Support the change process and communication strategy to instruct change to the Delivery Organisation
- Chair the periodic Change Control meetings to consider and record all proposed and accepted Programme Change, in accordance with the Change Control meeting Terms of Reference and Agenda
- Maintain the interface with Programme Controls to ensure alignment with the delivery programme
- Maintain the interface with Finance and Commercial Directorates to evaluate and communicate programme change impacts on the financial and commercial position
- Interface with the head of Transition Readiness to design and implement ways of working, capability and process at key transition points
- Take reasonable care of your own and others’ health and safety and of those who may be affected in the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for working to Target Zero principles.
- Co-operate with in all matters relating to health and safety, including following safe working procedures at all times
- Act as a role model for vision and values, behaving in ways that are in alignment with Ways of Working. Encourage and support others to do so too

- Supporting the programme change control process
- Successful deployment of ways of working across the integrated directorate to enable Change Control
- Coordinating with internal parties to verify and sponsor change related activities
- Effective communication of change requirements to integrated delivery directorates
- Maintaining alignment with the wider delivery programme
Person Specification
- Understanding of delivery strategy and priorities, and their application
- Experience with supporting large scale complex programmes of work
- Detailed understanding of the change control process, transition readiness and ability to anticipate change
- Understanding of the Programme scope, residual works and risk profile
- An ability to build effective working relationships and work in partnership with others to deliver organisational outcomes
- Strong inter-personal and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work competently and efficiently under pressure and ambiguity
- Experience of working in a complex, changing, high calibre environment, for example in professional services or major programmes
