This role is a contract position with an excellent day rate. This role falls under IR35 regulation and we cannot negotiate that – all candidates will be paid PAYE.

Samuel Knight are pleased to be recruiting for a Risk Manager based in Birmingham, joining our client to help deliver the UK governments prestigious HS2 (High Speed 2) programme.

We are seeking a candidate to support the Project Controls Manager in estimating & forecasting risk, overseeing the general risk activities of the teams engineers and analysing data to identify & evaluate risk for the HS2 project.

Amongst others, you will be accountable for:

• The oversight of delivery area risk managers’ work load and reporting schedule
• Undertaking all responsibilities in accordance with the project charter, policies, strategies, processes and procedures

The successful candidate will have responsibilities covering:

• Act as the Risk Manager for the HS2 Project, managing and guiding others in relation to use of risk management data
• Provide the leadership and guidance in risk management and ensure that principles and procedures are applies to all stages of the project lifecycle
• Support the Change Control Manager in ensuring that all project team members comply with the risk management strategy
• Producing detailed risk reports
