Risk and value management specialist circa £50,000 plus benefits

As part of ambitious infrastructure investment within the UK, McGinley Support Services have an opportunity for a risk and value management specialist covering UK wide projects.
You will
*Provide leadership and guidance in the concept of VM, maintaining their appropriate and effective application to all stages of the project lifecycle.
*Undertake VM workshops to drive efficiency, value for money and applicable project scope.
*Coordinating the efforts of the regionally focused value managers and ensuring national consistency in VM work and a collated national view on workshop outputs.
*Assuring the quality of VM application when utilising external resources
*Establishing a constructive culture around Risk and Value Management across the programme
*Ensuring investment proposals fit with the longer term regional asset strategy and are aligned to strategic objectives
*Facilitating a joined up approach to business risk reduction across the asset management cycle
*Being highly collaborative whilst maintaining focus on the outcomes to be achieved and challenging in a constructive and timely manner.
*Actively promote VM culture and improve VM competency across the project and programme management community.
*Monitor the output of others who undertake VM activities to monitor competence, consistency and compliance with Highways England Processes and Procedures
*Accountable for buying in of external VM support where necessary and that these are delivered to required quality standards.
*Maintain a robust view of required levels of VM services and assure that suitably qualified & experienced resource is available to meet these requirements.
The ideal candidate will be;
*Institute of Value Management (IVM) qualified or willingness to work towards a professional qualification in VM
*Proven awareness of cost and commercial processes within the infrastructure industry
*Proven analytical and decision making
*Proven experience of structured problem solving
*Proven experience of integrated risk, asset management and value tools and techniques
*Proven knowledge of applying Value Management and Value Engineering to asset and technical standards
*An excellent communicator and influencer
*Proven experience of Business Risk
*Proven facilitation experience in workshops and working groups for £multi-million infrastructure schemes.
*Proven knowledge of Benefits management processes
*Proven knowledge of project and programme business case development processing
*Proven experience of leading high performing teams
*Educated to a degree level in a relevant scientific, economic or engineering discipline
