PSR Solutions are currently working on an exciting opportunity for an experienced SHEQ Advisor to join a leading Tier 1 contractor on a long term Rail project. The role requires a NEBOSH experienced Health and Safety professional to provide advice and support the business to ensure a safe working environment for all staff, contractors and visitors. The ideal individual will have at least 1 years' experience in either a Rail or Metro environment.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Drive positive culture change within the business
• Investigating/ recording incidents, accidents, complaints and cases of ill health
• Attend client meetings/ Safety Stand Down event and 'lessons learnt' reviews
• Complete and communicate HSE reports
• Attend management meetings in the absence of the Head of HSEQ
• Compiling Health and Safety & Environmental Statistics
• Carrying out presentations to groups of employees/ managers
• Compile risk assessments and COSHH assessments
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to check policies and procedures are being properly implemented
• Ensure working practices are safe and comply with legislation
• Record incidents and accidents, and produce statistics for managers
• Ensuring up to date knowledge of any new or proposed legislation, and maintain a working knowledge of all Health & Safety Executives (HSE) initiatives and any developments that affect the industry
• Attend institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) seminars and read professional journals
• Produce manage reports, newsletters, safety alerts and bulletins
• Advise on a range of specialist areas, e.g. fire regulations, hazardous substances, noise, safeguarding machinery and occupational diseases

• Clean Driving Licence (required)
• Rail/ Civils site experience (required)
• IEMA Foundation Certificate in Environmental Management (desirable)

• Experience in managing and leading culture change (desirable)
• Environmental Management experience (desirable)
