The aim of the TRU East Alliance is to transform the East of Leeds route allowing people to travel faster, more reliably and in greater comfort between the North's great cities. Providing passengers with more choice, more seats and better facilities on a safer, cleaner, more environmentally friendly railway.
The Role
An opportunity has arisen for a SHES Coordinator to join the TRU East Alliance. The position is based across 3 project locations Northern House - York, Ulleskelf and Gascoigne Wood. You will also be required to visit TRU East compounds.
Key Accountabilities
The SHES Coordinator role is diverse and will require excellent organisational skills to meet the varying demands of the role. You will coordinate the collation and management of periodic SHES data and information to facilitate trend analysis and presentation for awareness and learning.
The role will assist all functions within the SHES Team (Health and Safety, Sustainability, Environment and Social Value) by coordinating the production of management plans, briefings and alerts along with organising periodic events such as Step Up days and other learning opportunities.
The role offers the opportunity to be part of major infrastructure project within a busy team, liaising with all disciplines and ensuring the SHES agenda is embedded throughout the alliance.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Coordinate the collection of SHES data required for periodic KPI reporting.
- Coordinate the collation of periodic updates to disseminate project SHES information to the wider industry
- Facilitate Step Up for SHES events, set up venue, sending invitations, tracking attendance, liaising with communications function to promote.
- Accompany SHES team members on scheduled site inspections to increase awareness of site operations to enable better understanding and increased effectiveness of data validation.
- Assist the SHES team in the preparation of reports and other associated administrative support as required.
- Manage the coordination of the Close Call system, including uploading data, generating reports and responses.
- Provide Meeting Minutes as requested within the SHES function.
- Asist with the coordination of Social Value events such as school visits and volunteering opportunities.
- Manage the review and maintenance of management plans and inspection schedules.
- Liaise with site Office Manager and Communications to facilitate communication (whether digital or hard copy posters) of SHES messaging.
- Engage with supply chain to improve service provision.
Skills & Experience
- Intermediate understanding of Health & Safety requirements
- Proficient at using Microsoft packages including Outlook, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio
- Attention to detail
- Highly evolved organisational skills
- Ability to follow processes and procedures
- Positive and professional attitude
- Full UK driving licence
