Rates - £424.59 per day (PAYE) - £483.30 per day (Ltd/Umbrella)

About the role / project:
To develop and deliver consistent and effective communications strategies for key projects and activities compliant with Network Rail's corporate communication strategy. To manage a broad range of stakeholder communication activities including, media, public affairs, community relations and internal audiences.
This role heads up the internal communications team and the team produces high quality content to work across internal and external channels - video, digital and design as well as written copy. The postholder will line manage a communications manager and three communications executives, so as well as the standard skills and experience (below) they will require a strong track record in people management.

Essential Skills
- Substantial experience in corporate communications
- High standards of written and spoken communication
- The experience and personal credibility to work effectively with senior managers
- Strong influencing skills
- Proven ability to grasp, understand and promote complex and sensitive issues in a persuasive and sensible way
- Ability to develop and maintain a wide network of stakeholder contacts
Desired Skills
- Evidence of good planning and financial skills, with the ability to deliver projects and activities on time and within budget
- Experience of directing and managing agency support
- Educated to degree level
- Relevant professional qualifications
- Evidence of continuing professional development
